MARLEY'S AART FOUNDATION

Supporting children and young people with anxiety disorders and other mental health issues through art therapy

John 12:24 "Unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies it provides much grain and yields a harvest."

OUR MISSION

Marley’s Aart Foundation will provide relief of need among children and young people who are in need by reason of having a social and anxiety disorder or other mental health issue. The organisations will identify the children or young people needing Art Therapy and organise group or individual sessions with an Art Therapist.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

Inspired by a life-changing event, Marley's Aart Foundation was established in May 2021 in Bedfordshire UK.
Not every young person with mental health issues wants to talk, we believe that young people who suffer from mental health issues such as social and anxiety disorders should have access to a different type of therapy to help them cope with their issues.
Our focus is to fund organisations who can offer Art therapy for young people who will benefit from this form of therapy.

Marley's Aart In Action

Marley's Aart Foundation provides funds to organisations with the expertise of working with young people with mental health issues using art therapy.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing, or modelling, used as a cure or diagnostic activity.

Individual Art Therapy

Some young people prefer individual sessions where they work one to one with the art therapist. Marley's Aart has provided funding for 16 sessions for one individual in 2021/2022.

Group Art Therapy

Other young people prefer not to be the sole focus of attention and benefit from group work. Marley’s Aart is also providing funding for group sessions.
